Every girl has a battle to fight. And every girl has a weapon in which to fight—hate or love.

Angel is a girl just like you; she eats, she sleeps, she dreams, she works. Every day is a challenge to her, too—just like yours is.

But to Angel, she’s not only stuck in her own battle, she’s stuck in the middle of a very real war called World War II. And everything she has ever loved—her family, her friends, her home, her island—is at the brink of total destruction. Can she find a way to bring life back again into the world she used to know?

Angel finds strength in the most unlikely of ways: by simply loving. Before she loved, she was helpless against the waves of the invaders. But God gave her the strength, just in time.

And God can give you the strength as well in a time when you least expect it, like the time you feel that your obstacle is pinning you flat to the ground and suffocating you. Don’t worry. God’s there. He cares. Besides that, He’s loves you. And He just won’t give up on you!

Join me on my unforgettable journey as I tap into the past and ask Angel to tell me what really happened, how she managed to survive her battle, and how we can manage to survive our battles.

I can still hear her say, simply, “It’s love—real love—the kind that sticks to you when you know you’ve fought well. When you know God is there. When you feel the victor inside you sing.”

And that’s just it. Miracles happen when you find it, when you act on it. Real love.
